It is getting harder to write these posts

Mainly as my child is getting older. Her learning isn’t as photogenic.. not as subtle, perhaps. Today, we went to the NMIT (Nelson Marlborough Institute of Technology). I saw squillions of things I wanted to “do”.. to play with. Big machines you could cut wood or metal with. I saw a room full of silk…

omg

Check this out… my darling whipped it up in a couple of nights for a Shakespeare competition (she is so excited as it means she gets 4 magazines a year)… then she had to spend a couple of nights cutting down on words! She can write!!                                MC’BETH’S FISH AND CHIPS.   Terry Mc’Beth sighed…

yay finished

I am quoting someone else when I say “I hate science fair” but I sort of do… oh dear I am already moving into the glow of the baby being delivered and forgetting the pain. It was so painful. Not the initial part when my darling enthusiastically got the idea and jumped totally into it….

no.. no.. don’t take a photo (30.10.18)

… it wasn’t working out and apparently going near it with the phone may have just ruined it… though there was a moment where I was allowed to offer some help to stop it falling over….. This is her first go with plasticine! Go no 1… No 2 – the revised model The final…

writing week (27-31.08.18) with no slapping

For some reason this week Helena did some writing… was she not worried about details, that first time perfection? She did have something to say, and has rather enjoyed the re-reading and likes reading it to me. It says – “I thought this in the night and thought Mum would like it so I waited…
