Keeping it real

Maybe this is technology.. either that or it’s just some random kind of learning.

  • Client: cousin
  • Spur: his birthday
  • Object: a treasure hunt

Now, a treasure hunt is a good thing if you want no client input. It’s all secret… and you can hang out undisturbed in your room.

This was no whip up, that’s for sure. One morning, she even got up at 6 am. to work on it. There was a plan…..

So well planned the first clue was in an apple pie..

She did think of the clients (we all got to do it).

She admitted she was worried as she knew that none of us would be as good as her at this kind of logic puzzle. I was definitely the bad student rejecting the work I was given and finding some way around it.

That clue gave us the number to open this..

She made it with her friend. Apparently, it was fun, funny, and bonding. She was so proud.

Lots of the clues were interconnected. Each one we found had a few jigsaw pieces. The clues involved:

… watching her electronic photo frame until this clue appeared. It’s music.

…. using her phone to play a note that we had to find how to play on her small flute – the number of fingers was important!

And we had to know stuff about Shakespeare.. of course..

The soundtrack in Shrek….

and do a bit of Origami

and then we all got a prize……..

This was a long period of industry, totally self led, planned, “go away,” actioned, and I think that this was because it was real. It was real work with a real outcome. It was fun but in her mind necessary important work. We were all impressed.
